Match time to the written work
Vehicle size, condition, crew size, tools, weather, access, drying, inspection, and cure time all matter. Two people may finish a clear scope faster than one person. A provider may also keep a vehicle longer while little hands-on work is happening.
- Ask how much is active work versus drying or curing.
- Ask what can extend the appointment after inspection.
- Confirm drop-off, mobile access, keys, and pickup timing.
- Do not assume a fast job is careless or a slow job is thorough.
When timing is a warning
Pause when a provider promises deep stain removal, major correction, or coating preparation in a time that does not fit the listed steps—and cannot explain how. Also pause when an open-ended job has no scope, update plan, or price-change rule.
